The UNESCO Category II Center for Capacity Development and Research in Water Harvesting (RCWH) recently organized an intermediate training course on Remote Sensing, Spatial Analysis, Modeling, and GIS from 16-22 March 2023. The course aimed to enhance the capacity of employees from various departments of the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources and other institutions. The training covered GIS concepts and tools for analyzing and communicating information and built on a previous workshop on GIS for water resources engineers.

More information on the course, as well as future plans, are available at the RCWH website.

The RCWH has co-sponsored many events with G-WADI, including topics such as water harvesting, water resources in arid regions, and G-WADI regional meetings.
